LeyMeet is a dating and meet-up app for people in Liberia. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who can see it and how you can delete it.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and an encrypted password (we never store or see your password in readable form).
- Profile details you enter: display name, age, gender, who you are looking for, a short bio, interests and one photo.
- Your approximate location: the spot you drop on the map, or your device location if you allow it. It is used to work out how far away other people are.
- Activity: who you liked or passed, your matches, your messages, and blocks or reports you make.
- Basic technical data needed to keep the service running and secure.
What other people can see
- Other members see your display name, age, gender, bio, interests, photo, nearest town and roughly how far away you are.
- Nobody else can see your exact map coordinates, your email address or your password.
- Your messages are only visible to you and the person you matched with.
- Moderators only see a report, the reported account and a short copy of a reported message — never your wider conversations.
Location
Location is central to LeyMeet. You can set your spot by tapping the map instead of sharing device location. Distances shown to others are calculated on our server, and only the distance is shared — never your coordinates. You can move or remove your pin at any time in your profile.
Who we share with
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers to host the app, database, photo storage and sign-in. If advertising is added later, ad partners may receive limited, non-identifying data, and this policy will be updated before that happens.
Age limit
LeyMeet is only for people aged 18 and over. Accounts found to belong to anyone younger are removed.
Keeping your information safe
- All traffic is encrypted in transit.
- Photos are kept in private storage and served through short-lived links.
- Database rules restrict each person to their own data, their matches and their conversations.
- Passwords, private messages and our service keys are never exposed to the app or to other members.
Deleting your account and data
You can permanently delete your account in Settings. This removes your profile, photo record, likes, matches, messages, blocks and reports, and your sign-in account. Deletion cannot be undone. You can also email leymeet231@gmail.com to request deletion.
